This is the most beautiful painting! I feel lucky and blessed that I came across it! My husband and I honeymooned in Mo’orea and we had taken many pictures in front of this church. To find that Greg Collins painted it was such a joy! We will treasure it forever!

I was super-pleased with my photo print purchase! Like many people, I’m sure, when making online purchases there’s always just a little voice of skepticism in the back of my mind. I knew I liked the image, but had to roll the dice that it would look good in person, the frame would be adequate, etc. I must say it exceeded even my hopeful expectations! First of all, the packing was stellar. The photo print did look great in person, and the framing was WAY better than I was expecting! It was ready to go with a sturdy hanging wire already in place. Unfortunately it was a gift, so I don’t have a photo of it on my wall! I did, however, open and inspect it before wrapping it and re-shipping (in the same stellar packing!). I would easily recommend FineArtAmerica and will happily shop with them again in the future…worry free!

Magpies have always been powerful symbols in folklore and were thought to have unusual powers, including the ability to predict the sex of unborn children. Hence the old saying 'One for sorrow, two for joy, three for a girl and four for a boy.
I saw this pair in the gloom of a winter wood in England where they seemed to glow in the half-light.
About Chris Pendleton
I grew up in Warwickshire, England and spent much of my early life wandering in the woods and fields of the 'leafy county'. I have always been a passionate lover of wildlife and have drawn and painted birds for as long as I can remember. Watercolour, handled with a light touch, is my preferred medium for birds and animals as I feel it best captures their quick-silver vitality. I have travelled widely in Europe, the USA and Africa and carry a sketchbook wherever I go. I recently launched the highly successful British Birds Collection of signed Limited Edition Prints which are selling in National Trust Shops all over the UK.
